Hard Stand Facilities

DBCYA provides Hard Stand sites in two locations for Full members:

  1. ‘The Boat Park’ for long term repairs and refurbishment of mono-hulls and powered cruisers;

  2. ‘The Wharf’ for long term repairs and refurbishment of multi-hulls; and short term (4 months max) repairs and refurbishment of mono-hulls and powered cruisers

Booking requests are required through the General Manager by first completing an Expression of Interest (below). 

  • Rates start at $115 per week (Boat Park) and $130 per week (Wharf). Site allocation is subject to availability and is on a first booked, first allocated basis upon receipt of the EOI. Rental fees increase incrementally upon anniversary of occupation.

  • All occupants must enter into a Hard Stand Use Deed of Agreement and pay bond prior to haul out and comply with all terms therein, including all tools and leads tested and tagged prior to use. All new Agreements are issued for a maximum of 12 months (except short term wharf sites as noted above). There is provision to renew upon prior mutual agreement.

  • Vessels are transported via independent local crane operators through direct arrangement with the vessel owner.

  • Occupants can reside on their vessel for the purpose of expediting works. Occupancy is not permitted solely for the purposes of residency however and the Hard Stand Use Deed of Agreement is not considered a tenancy arrangement.

  • Vessels must be covered by Third Party Risk Insurance 

  • Electricity (individually metered) usage rates apply. 

  • Size and weight limits apply and no guarantee is given that a site will be available.

  • Sand / glass blasting is not permitted on the hard stand
